About
We are from Fiumicino. You can tell.
Marevanto was born here on 27 January 2010. One name for three trades: selling, serving, hosting.
The story
We started with one counter and a simple idea: sell what grows a few kilometres from here, with the maker’s name on the label. The Roman countryside is one of the richest in Italy and nobody was telling its story.
The catering came later, because customers kept asking what to do with those vegetables. Then the parties, because people who ate well wanted to do it with friends. Aperitivo and cocktails we bring along, to the parties. There is no room for a counter in the bottega, and that is fine.
The name is a name, not a menu. It sounds like this place: sun, wind, pride in being from here. We do not do fish. We do everything else on the table.
The dates
- 2010On 27 January Marevanto opens in Fiumicino, at Via Castegnevizza 10.
- TodayBottega, Catering and Events under one name. Same street, same idea.
The people
Who you find at the counter.
We are a small team. The person who sells you pecorino in the morning is the one pouring your Frascati at the party.
How we work
- Close
- Most of what we sell comes from Lazio. The rest from Italy, never further.
- Named
- Producer, town, season. If we cannot tell you where it comes from, we do not sell it.
- No waste
- What is left on the counter at night goes into the next day’s party trays.
Our producers
From close by.
The people who grow, raise and make what we sell and serve. Name and town on the label, always.
